Siesta Key is a Barrier island on the intra coastal waterway just south of the City of Sarasota on the west coast of Florida. We use the area to sit and relax in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico at the famed Siesta Key beach. The weather is beautiful and the sunsets on the beach are fantastic. Take a long walk along the edge of the water with others who do this as a daily routine. On Sunday evening make sure you’re at the beach and watch or join in at the weekly drum circle. A tradition at Siesta Key Beach. Tired of the beach, rent a boat a cruise down the intracoastal waterway to Venice or go north into Sarasota Bay. While traveling south to Venice be sure you slow down at Buoy 16 and visit with the dolphins that are usually happy to see you. If you do not wish to walk to the beach (which is just across the street) stay on the property at the pool. Be sure to take a trip into Siesta Village for breakfast lunch or dinner. For those of you who are golfers there are numerous public golf courses in area, choose one and enjoy your day. When not playing golf or relaxing at the beach take a ride into Sarasota—stop at the Ringling Museum—home of the famed John and Mabel Ringling (owner of the Ringling Bros. Circus). Sarasota was the winter residence of the Ringling Bros. Circus for many years. While in Sarasota ride across the Ringling Bridge to Long Boat Key and visit St Armbands Circle for a day of shopping
